The majesty and power of the ocean is an enduring inspiration for jeweller Irene Neuwirth, a southern California native who founded her eponymous label in 2003. Colour, clashing stones and the nuances of the natural world are key themes for her work, echoed in the combination of hand-carved turquoise, chrysoprase and aquamarine with rainbow-coloured sapphires, akoya pearls and watermelon tourmaline. The result is an enchanting and contemporary repertoire of nature-inspired relics finished with brushed 18kt yellow and rose-gold settings, crafted by local Los Angeles artisans.
