Though the mine primarily focused on copper extraction, the extraordinary emerging turquoise has garnered worldwide attention. The copper-rich soil in Bisbee gave birth to turquoise stones with deep blue hues, accompanied by a distinct matrix varying from chocolate to "smoky" shades. The mine was closed in 1974, making Bisbee extremely rare.
