About the artist-
Danny Romero was a gifted Yaqui jeweler known for his innovative, hand-crafted inlay pieces made from sterling silver, gold, and intricately cut precious stones—sometimes up to 1,500 per design. Inspired by everything from desert landscapes and Frank Lloyd Wright to ancient petroglyphs and Hispanic religious symbols, his work merged fine art, cultural heritage, and deep personal creativity.
Originally on track to become a doctor, Danny found his calling in jewelry design, later pushing boundaries by crafting stone-inlay portraits inspired by artists like John Nieto and E.S. Curtis’s iconic Native American photography. He passed away in 2018, leaving behind a legacy of extraordinary craftsmanship and an enduring relationship with the Garland family gallery.
